Reverse Bond Wa/Mo? Monk protector?
Has anyone tried running something like this:
Wa/Mo
Balthazar's Spirit
Life Bond
Defy Pain
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Dolyak Signet
Healing Breeze
Healing Signet
I was thinking of a way to use the Riposte build in GvG (granted, I'm no expert in that field), and focusing on the fact that the biggest problem with that build in GvG is that if no one attacks you, it doesn't work, and there's no reason for anyone to attack you.
What if you threw up Life Bond on the Monk/Healer, and then basically just turtled up? If they beat on the Monk, you start getting Adrenaline and Energy back, aside from the fact that you're halving his damage. With Dolyak and Defy Pain, you'll have over 100 armor easily and at least 700 HP. Once you start being attacked (since, let's face it, if they can't kill the Monk, they're gonna take you out, since you're the one helping him stay up), just start throwing Ripostes and D. Ripostes like crazy.
Of course, Shatter Enchantment throws everything out of the water.
So is this completely stupid, or what? It could work in PvE, maybe, but that depends on how smart the AI is on going after you instead of the party's Monk. It might be nice to use on the Healer henchman if you happen to use her.
Any thoughts? Opinions are welcome.

The real problem I see is energy management. You only have ~27e and 2 pips of regen, hence you can maintain, at most, 2 enchantments before you start lose energy costantly. If you were only planning to bond one monk and use Balth on yourself, you're not really going to make that much of an impact overall. Besides that, chances are (especially in 8v8) that your bond will be stripped from the monk(s) when they get attacked, and you won't have the energy to reapply them.
Warriors are just not a good primary for energy-intensive builds. If you want to make a bonder with some staying power, consider a Mo/W or Mo/E instead.

Well im Not in any kind of way experinced with GvG.. (have done like 2 GvG's so far xD) but from my understanding then Even if you are holding their monk up with Life bond then the enemy team would Never send a Warrior up to take you out... And Even if they did, that warrior would back off very fast becouse it would be useless for that warrior to hit some1 with like 150 def vs his attacks, and the ripostes too...

in short, you cant do that in pvp, that build is so wrong on so many levels
however the running a bonder w/mo can be viable in a non-spike holding build in HA or fooling around in 4v4
16 sword
13 str
rest in prot (think its 6)
battlerage
artery
gash
galrath -would switch to "sun and moon slash" for ch2
final thrust
lifebond
*open*-purge sig/succor/another sword addrenaline attack/etc
res
can bond two monks, if your hold build already has bonder you can succor your main healer or whatever

It is sorta getting ideas above your station... they may not be able to kill you directly. But several adren spikes into your monk you'll be getting a fair bit of damage redirected. Might be better using Succor and sticking to adren skills if you absolutely have to bond the monk.

Thanks for the feedback. I think Life Bond is an interesting spell, and was hoping to exploit it somehow. It just seems like something fit for a Wa/Mo. Oh well, thanks again for the feedback.

In hindsight, in PvE, a monk using life bond on a warrior is fine, but in PvP, your idea actually makes sense.
Monk with life bond in pvp is kinda useless since 9/10 people will jump on his arse first...
But a w/mo with LB is good since people ignore him, problem?
Energy, that's the biggie...
You've got some fallbacks if you have energy issues in both Strength and Tactics.
You can run Victory is Mine! {E} or Warrior's Endurance and if you're a sword build, you'll have no problems.
Also, if that monk is worth a darn, he won't have just one enchant on him. You can have your Life Bond covered by other teammates enchants.
For ViM! You'll obviously need Sever, Gash, and possibly Hamstring.
Your idea is unique, but very few will say it's effective...
